Sergio Ralf Adrian Antoine

The (dream) team, la Manschaft, I mean el equipo! Here is a brief introduction to the 4 Renault Group engineers who will drive you around the world.

Let’s start with the one who comes from Madrid and Sevilla, the one you find in all fiestas (olé) and siestas: Sergio. He is Spanish, and works on transmissions (TL4 for those who know it) in Sevilla. Does all Europe and Asia speak Spanish? No, it’s not South America. But his resourcefulness will be useful to the whole team during the Challenge.

Please applaud Adrian, the man who can attend and understand a 4-hour gear-pair lesson without problem while he is… Roman. He works for Dacia in Pitesti, Romania. His field of expertise is acoustics, vibrations, gears… not an easy subject! His focus and self-control are unique… and sometimes confusing!

Ralf, the Frenchiest German, has one of the coolest positions in the company (joke): to analyze the few incidents in Renault cars in the pool, while everybody knows that Renault cars don’t break down (anymore?). That’s why he is the one who can most invest time in preparing the Challenge with the natural German strictness (As cliché as it sounds…)

As a conclusion, who will be sick on the roads while writing a message in the mountain road? Who will be insistent to stop in a cyber-café in the middle of nowhere? Who will manage to keep you informed of the team progression? Your devoted Antoine. I will leave for a couple of weeks the automatic transmissions I work on.

Update: Finally, Javier and Alfonso will replace Ralf, who won’t be able to achieve the Challenge with us. Those 2 Sevillan boys will share the Challenge, Javier from Sevilla to Istanbul and Alfonso from Istanbul to Bucarest. They both have a great experience in Europe, Asia (and South America) that will be usefull for sure.
